Fresh Baby Gear helps parents and caregivers choose baby products with less guesswork. We publish buying guides, product comparisons and plain-English summaries of safety guidance for strollers, car seats, sleep, feeding, monitors, carriers and travel gear.

Why we exist

Shopping for a first baby means making dozens of decisions quickly, often with conflicting advice and marketing that promises more than a product can deliver. Our aim is to give you the information that actually separates one option from another: how it fits your home, car and routine, what it costs to live with, and whether it meets current safety standards.

A fresh start for a long-running site

Fresh Baby Gear previously published baby gear reviews and guides. After losing our original hosting, we are rebuilding the site and restoring earlier articles where we can. Restored articles are reviewed before they go back online, and anything that is out of date, such as discontinued products or superseded safety advice, is updated or removed rather than republished as it was.

How we work

  • Research from primary sources. We check product specifications against manufacturer documentation and record when we last checked.
  • Safety guidance from official bodies. Safety advice is based on organisations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), with links to the source.
  • Clear about what we have and haven’t done. We say how each product was assessed. We never claim hands-on testing or personal experience we don’t have.
  • Independent recommendations. We may earn affiliate commissions, but brands and retailers cannot pay for a recommendation or a better position. See our affiliate disclosure.
